What to Bring
Pack some comfortable clothes: light for the summer months (e.g. a light jacket for evenings), sun protection creams, hats, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, swim gear, personal necessities, medication, and photographic equipment (e.g. batteries, film).
For outdoor tours:
Sleeping-bags, hiking boots, flashlights, and a pocket knife, jackets, hats, personal hygiene products, personal vitamins and medication, anything that is a personal necessity.
Note:
As Jordan is mainly an Islamic country, although comparatively liberal, many of the women are veiled. Visitors, especially women, are advised to dress modestly. Please do not take photographs without permission. Respect the culture and traditions of the local people.
